Newest works ~ “Where are you little cowboy?” this old swing has seen a lot of kids since it was built in the early 1950's. Dianne's Grandpa Bargstadt built it to be hung in their basement where they rode many happy trails. This piece is currently traveling through the state of Nebraska as one of the ANAC "State Award of Excellence" winners. 

 

 

Awards and Special Showings

~ People's Choice award at the Cheyenne County Art Guild 2010 Annual Show was “Tin Roof Sunday".

~ANAC Award of Excellence 2010 Nebraska State Show traveling exhibit winner “Where are you little cowboy?".

~First Place in 2-dimensional artwork at the 2008 Railfest Art Show in North Platte, NE was “Rhythm of the Rails".

~ Juried into IMPACT: Nebraska artists showing in more than 26 states (presently showing at the Octagon Gallery in Ames, IA and the Great Plains Gallery in Lincoln, NE.

~Self-portrait “Seeing Myself Bloodstained and Bloodbought” chosen Best of Show at the 2008 Tri-State Art Show in McCook, Nebraska and Best of Show in the 2007 Cheyenne County Art Guild Spring Show. 

~“Quilt At Winter's End” chosen Best Oil and Acrylic at the Carnegie Arts Center 15th Anniversary Show. 

~ “Dancers On A Crazy Quilt” , won Best of Show at the 2008 Cheyenne  County Art Guild Spring Show and Best Oil & Acrylic at the Carnegie Arts Center 2010 show. 

 ~ He was also asked in 2006 to create a series of murals for the Western Nebraska Community College Aviation Maintenance Training Center (two of which are now completed).

~ The Eastern Nebraska Veteran's Home in Bellevue, Nebraska has purchased "Flyover Dream" for decoration of their home.

~ In 2006 Ron participated in a 3-man show at the Carnegie Art Center in Alliance, Nebraska .
